2018 Prevention Program - Serveko

TRAINING ON VENTILATION

The Maximum Fan is a stationary fan, used to replace stale and humid air inside the attic with fresh outside air.

We have studied the different installation techniques recommended by our multiple material partners to provide you with a waterproof and durable roof. All this in accordance with the standards established to ensure compliance with the material warranty of our manufacturers.

The Serveko installation guarantee also gives you the freedom of mind.

ELASTOMERIC MEMBRANE

The elastomeric membranes are in the form of a very durable bilayer membrane. They consist of a base membrane and a finishing membrane with colored surface granules that replace the gravel of the asphalt membranes. The two layers are fused using a gas torch, a delicate operation and very decisive for the life of this type of coating.

VENTILATION

The roof fan allows a good air circulation in your attic. The air movement therefore reduces the heat in the attic, reduces the accumulation of ice on your roof in winter and at the same time, the extension of the life of your asphalt shingle.

ASPHALT SHINGLES

The asphalt shingle roof is resistant to temperature variations, which gives it a considerable advantage. Adhesive tape and nails make it resistant to high winds. This advantage is found especially with high performance shingles.

AUTOCOLLATING MEMBRANE

The self-adhesive membrane is a must-have product when renovating your roof. It is a protective membrane against water infiltration and damage caused by ice. Generally, we install 6 feet of this membrane from the starts of your roof.

UNDERCOAT

It is important to apply a covering underlay between the shingle and the wood in order to obtain a complete waterproofing of your roof. We mainly use a polypropylene woven synthetic underlay. The latter absorbs less moisture than conventional black paper and is more secure during installation.
